Lack of video in Colorado DUI cases

One of the things that is most surprising to those charged with a DUI in Denver or anywhere in Colorado is that there is rarely any video or audio evidence of the allegations.  Most police agencies in the Denver area and throughout Colorado are not equipped with dashboard cameras despite the affordability of these cameras.  The downside to this lack of video evidence is that the very subjective results of the roadside sobriety test are more difficult to challenge.  Essentially, the only evidence of an accused's performance on these sobriety tests is the testimony of the arresting officer.  However, a qualified DUI defense attorney certainly can challenge the officer's credentials, training, experience, and the manner in which they conducted the tests.

If you have been charged with a DUI in Denver, please consult with an attorney about your rights.
